No Other gods Before Me

I heard Jesus say, “There are many Gods before Me in your hearts and in your lives.”

I saw multiple thrones with different gods on them that were in a horizontal V position with Jesus at the front tip. As I was looking at them, I saw them almost vanish into smoke and each god became a demon, crouched up on its throne. Some with blazing red eyes and some with drool coming out of their mouths.

Then I saw Jesus crying, and He started pleading, “Can’t you see that the devil is deceiving you. Can’t you see I am the only way. I am the only TRUE light. You are playing with a fire that is all consuming. You are playing with a fire that sparks your interests and deepest desires, but in the end will burn you to a crisp. I can’t see the people I created worshiping other gods and thing of this world. You are chasing after money, success, beauty, satisfaction and self-acceptance. You are searching for a home, for comfortability, a perfect life. These things don’t include me. And if you think they do, you have only included me in the ‘helper’ category or the ‘friend’ category or even the ‘spiritual’ category of your life. You will never allow me to saturate your life.

I am your success. I am your satisfaction, and I am your home. I am your home. When I am your home, everything is in Me and begins and ends with Me. Don’t be far off from Me. Don’t be far off from Me. You are the only one that can separate us. You are the one building up walls between us. But I break walls down and I break chains that bind.

“Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” (Matthew 11:28-30)

Come to Me. Return home to Me like the prodigal son. And just like that, I will be waiting here for you with open arms, ready to celebrate your return. I am a gracious father. I am a merciful father. I am a loving God.”
